Abstract
The three mudstone samples from the Worton district are all from the upper part of the
Kimmeridge Clay Formation (Upper Kimmeridgian). Sample 1 is referable to the Hudlestoni
Zone (standard Kimmeridge Clay Bed numbers 42 to 45). Samples 2 and 3 are interpreted as
Upper Kimmeridgian, standard Kimmeridge Clay Bed numbers 42 and above.
