Report on Community Conversation #3: enhancing data access and data deposit

This report summarises the third Community Conversation on enhancing data access and data deposit at the Environmental Information Data Centre (EIDC). The conversation took place during an online workshop held by UKCEH on 28th October 2025. This Community Conversation is part of our co-design approach in the National Capability - Data programme. The event attracted over 25 attendees (11 from outside UKCEH) including researchers, environmental professionals, students, and data users. The workshop consisted of two short presentations on data access and data deposit followed by two breakout groups discussing participants experience of finding and accessing data, and depositing data at the EIDC. Participant feedback will help shape future improvements to the EIDC tools and services and community co-design efforts.
