Abstract/Summary

This paper presents the redevelopment of NOC’s legacy PyNOCol tidal prediction engine into JuNoCol (Julia NOC Open Library), a modern harmonics and nodal factor prediction system integrated into the MARVE (Marine Forecasting and Visualisation Environment) platform. It outlines the astronomical principles, computational design, and performance benchmarking that achieve scientific parity with previous C++ implementations while introducing modularity, reproducibility, and real-time scalability for marine forecasting applications.
