Abstract/Summary

This report describes the micromorphology of the Quaternary sediments exposed in the Dounreay area of Caithness, northeastern Scotland. The work forms part of the Devonian and Quaternary of Caithness Project of the Integrated Geological Survey (North) Programme. The report provides detailed descriptions of the micromorphology of three large format thin sections of the Quaternary sediments exposed at several locations within the project area. iv
