Abstract
This report describes the mineralogy and petrology of a suite of igneous and sedimentary rocks
exposed in the Rothbury district (sheet 9), Northeast England. A total of 35 thin sections were
examined with the work forming part of the Northeast England regional mapping project as part
of a BGS Integrated Geological Survey (North) research programme.
