Abstract/Summary

This factsheet provides an overview of the underground storage, or the potential for underground storage, of solids, liquids and gases in the UK (excluding radioactive waste). It is intended to inform the land-use planning process. It is not a statement of planning policy or guidance; nor does it imply Government approval of any existing or potential planning application in the UK administration.
