Preliminary Landslide Inventory Following 6 Feb 2023 Turkey-Syria Earthquake

Interpretation: This satellite image interpretation map shows the combined landslide maps produced by the British Geological Survey. The scale of mapping was between 1:5,000 and 1:10,000 and the satellite image resolution is between ~2 m and ~5 m. Five new landslides have been mapped (by the publication date). Geolocation of landslide might not be accurate. Framework: International Charter Disaster Activation 797/798. This inventory was prepared in rapid mapping mode using a combination of automatic satellite image mapping and expert interpretation (from the ALMEO project run by the British Geological Survey). ALMEO Is part of the BGS International NC programme ‘Geoscience to tackle Global Environmental Challenges’, NERC reference NE/X006255/1.
