References  Citations Metrics  Reprints & Permissions Get access The standard of Antarctic maps in many of the world atlases on sale in the UK is reviewed and the criteria by which they were assessed are discussed. A description of some of the recent changes to the coastline of this dynamic continent emphasises the need for thorough research before reproducing maps of Antarctica in such educational publications.
