A previously unrecognised Cytophaga-like bacterium (CLB) causing jaw erosion in farmed rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)

Holliman, A.; Austin, B.; Pottinger, T.G.. 1991 A previously unrecognised Cytophaga-like bacterium (CLB) causing jaw erosion in farmed rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Bulletin of the European Association of Fish Pathologists, 11 (3). 114-115.

Abstract
During 1990, a fatal condition occurred in a population of farmed rainbow trout. Diseased animals displayed pronounced jaw erosion, with an accompanying yellow hue in the vicinity of the lesions. A previously unidentified Cytophaga-like bacterium was recovered on Cytophaga agar. Pathogenicity was confirmed in laboratory-based experiments.
