Everest, Jeremy; Witney, Paul. Icefall on Virkisjokull, Iceland (Sept 2013). 7 October 2013, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7MjwDyy_GU [Output (Electronic)]

Abstract
A video published on the BGS YouTube channel shows a substantial icefall on Virkisjökull glacier, Iceland, on 20/9/2013 which was captured by the BGS Glacier Survey team. The section fell in three stages with the largest fall estimated to be about 100m across and 70m high. Icefalls happen frequently at this time of day during warmer months due to increased melting and water in the glacial system. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7MjwDyy_GU
