mySoil app for Android phones

An updated version of mySoil was released in June 2013. The new version incorporated a number of significant content and function changes. The new app now includes pan-European soil mapping (served from JRC services in Italy) and includes new UK data for soil temperature (served directly from the Met Office). The new release also enabled some service improvements for the crowd sourcing aspects of the app. As part of the re-release an article was produced for Nature Correspondence. Towards the end of August 2013, the Android version of mySoil was published. This enables BGS to communicate its soil science to the broadest range of users (90%+ of the current smartphone market) . mySoil had its 20,000th download during December 2013.
