Methane baseline results

In 2012, a total of 42 new groundwater methane samples were collected and analysed from three areas — in south Wales; Lancashire and Cheshire; and Kent, East and West Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. A number of groundwater methane values also exist for other areas from previous studies, in particular Scotland's Central Belt and parts of south Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and areas around London.
