The objective of the telemetry data system was the collection of continuous raw data from the Solent
Sonic anemometer, whilst the sensor was deployed at sea, on the Sonic Buoy. The success of the system exceeded that expected, with a 98% data blocks received without errors.
The report details the data collected together with file formats. Software developed for file format conversion and error analysis of the data is included.
Arrangements for the shore station errected for SWALES are detailed, also included is copy of the licence obtained from Department of Trade and Industry Radiocommunications Agency.
