Abstract
In May 2012, BGS scientists Andrew McKenzie, John Bloomfield, Stephanie Bricker, Andy Butcher and Ricky Terrington all took part in the filming for the BBC regional 'Inside Out : Drought' programme which included a GeoVisionary fly through of the 1:625k hydrogeological map with meteorologist Nick Miller to describe how the different aquifers are being affected by the drought and field visits to see just how low borehole levels really are and why, despite heavy rain and flood alerts, much of the country was still experiencing drought conditions.
