Abstract
For the first time, EAGE was the Invited Organization at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) which is convened each spring in Houston, this year from 30 April to 3 May 2012. The EAGE session was entitled ‘Advances in Offshore Resource Characterization’. The session comprised seven 20 minute invited presentations highlighting insights and technologies applied in offshore exploration and development worldwide that reflected the breadth and depth of EAGE disciplines. Up to 130 attended this special session.
