Abstract/Summary

This note is prepared by CEH Wallingford in response to a request from the Flood Forecasting Centre for an appraisal of the performance of the G2G Model in simulating and forecasting the floods affecting Cumbria on 21 November 2009. The performance assessment relates to how well the G2G Model transforms estimates of rainfall, based on observations and forecasts, into estimates of river flow across Cumbria using a 15-minute time-step and 1 km model grid.
