Abstract

This report details the modernisation of equipment operating at the Port Stanley magnetic observatory in the Falkland Islands. Port Stanley is one of three overseas magnetic observatories maintained and operated by the British Geological Survey in addition to three in the UK. Measurements are collated in Edinburgh and are primarily used to model the main magnetic field of the Earth.
