Abstract

Ammonia is vital for global food security and as a potential clean energy carrier. However, its traditional production is energy and emission intensive, while its consumption can further generate environmental pollutants. Achieving truly sustainable ammonia requires innovations in both cleaner production methods and responsible consumption practices. This Voices asks: what key challenges must be addressed to secure a transition to a sustainable ammonia future?
