Abstract/Summary

This account indicates the scale and range of the soil work carried out up until the mid 1970s on the area which has formed the Moor House National Nature Reserve since 1952. These studies have ranged from soil mapping, pedological and mineralogical investigations to microbiological, nutrient balance and productivity work.
