Abstract/Summary

A challenge in the estimation of doses to biota is the large number of potential radionuclide-organism transfer parameters which are required. To address this allometric (weight dependent, trans-species) relationships have been proposed. Here, these relationships are considered and used to derive a hypothesis for trans-species concentration ratios describing the radionuclide transfer from diet to animals.
