Abstract
An animation published on the BGS YouTube channel shows an air photo of the Virkisjokull glacier in Iceland from 2007 for initial comparison, and then displays the BGS's 2010 LiDAR-produced Digital Elevation Model (DEM). The volume of landscape change between the 2010 and 2009 DEMs is shown by a colour ramp, where deep blues and purples show surface lowering and reds and yellows show surface rise.
