Abstract/Summary
This report presents the results of a major phase of the analysis under R&D project WS 194/2/39: Reservoir Safety – long return period rainfall, funded by Defra and managed by the Environment Agency. The research leading to a number of proposed revisions to the FORGEX methodology underpinning Volume 2 of the Flood Estimation Handbook (FEH) model of rainfall frequency (Faulkner, 1999) is described in detail.
