Abstract/Summary

The neutron back-scattering method has very great advantages in the determination of soil moisture content. The results obtained, however, can be easily rendered invalid by faulty calibration method and incorrect installation of access tubes. This report describes the routine method developed at the Institute in an attempt to overcome these problems
