Abstract/Summary

Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is crucial for clean energy transitions, yet its adoption in Southeast Asia has been slow. In India, the drive for sustainable energy and CCS research intensified after the prime minister set a net-zero target of 2070. Major industries (e.g., steel, cement, and coal-based power plants)have been encouraged to adopt sustainable practices. India is developing domestic CCS capabilities and is open to importing proven technologies.
