Abstract/Summary

We present a genome assembly from a Melanostigma gelatinosum (the limp eelpout; Chordata; Actinopterygii; Perciformes; Zoarcidae). The genome sequence is 662.0 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 24 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 16.83 kilobases in length.
