Abstract/Summary

This report describes the foraminifera from two samples of Chalk from the Newbury sheet. Both are of a similar age, the early part of foraminiferal zone BGS18 (probably Subzone 18ii), which equates with the lower part of the socialis macrofaunal zone, can be recognised. The basal Newhaven Chalk is inferred.
