Dr Helen Hesketh describes research by the Disease Ecology Group at the NERC Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH) focusing on two areas of disease and pathogen ecology: diseases of veterinary importance transmitted by arthropod vectors and those that are exploited for biological control of insect pests.
