Abstract/Summary
The Experimental Cartography Unit (ECU) based at the Royal College of Art, London, was a NERC funded body set up to research and develop new and innovative ways of capturing and storing spatial data in digital format. The ECU was established in 1967 with a Laboratory based in Oxford, and operated until the late 1980s.
