Abstract/Summary

Rhynchonellid brachiopods are reported for the first time from the Oberek Cliff Member of the Oligocene Polonez Cove Formation of King George Island, South Shetland Islands, West Antarctica. Rhynchonellids are very rare in the Polonez Cove Formation, and absent in the younger Tertiary strata of King George Island, the Miocene Destruction Bay Formation.
