Abstract/Summary

In a Planet Earth online podcast from October 2012, BGS Chief Geologist for Scotland, Dr Diarmad Campbell, talks to Richard Hollingham about work to explore how the heat energy within the ground beneath Glasgow can be used to heat buildings using Ground Source Heat Pumps. An item on this initiative also appeared in BBC Radio 4's Material World programme review of the British Science Festival 2012 (broadcast 6 September 2012).
