Abstract/Summary

Objectives This report supplements the reports submitted to the National Forest Company by Dr Ronnie Milne in 2004 and 2007. The objectives of the work area as follows: • To update the carbon sequestration estimates for the National Forest area 1990-2010, taking account of additional planting between 2007/08 and 2009/10. • To provide estimates of the carbon sequestered by the National Forest up to 2013/14, and the amount sequestered between 2009/10 and 2013/14 (to coincide with the National Forest Delivery Plan period). • To project carbon sequestration between 2010 and 2044, for (a) the 2010 forest area (18% woodland cover) and (b) the projected 2044 forest area (33% woodland cover).
