Abstract/Summary

This paper describes spatial variations in surface water DOC concentrations in the Conwy catchment, North Wales, based on sampling for Eurolimpacs, with additional 14C analyses supported by the Natural Environment Research Council Radiocarbon Committee. The data show strong differentiation in the amount, character and age of DOC exported by different landscape areas, and are discussed in the context of proposed effects of climate change on soil carbon stability and surface water DOC concentrations
