Abstract

T his report describes the standard service procedure carried out at Port Stanley Observatory in March 2006. Each section deals with component parts of the observatory where details of any damage or change to the installation are discussed at length. The main part of the report presents the results of the calibrations tests conducted on parts of the instrumentation that make up the Geomagnetic Data Acquisition System (GDAS). Based on the results of this service visit, some recommendations for future services have been made at the end of the report.
