Abstract/Summary
This report describes the Tellus summer field campaign of 2006 carried out between Saturday 2nd July and Saturday 24th September. Two teams operated across the eastern half of Northern Ireland in counties Londonderry, Antrim, Armagh and Down, staying at four field bases for three weeks at each. Each team comprised two staff team leaders and nine voluntary workers (VWs) and collected drainage site samples and regional soils from areas of high ground. 3289 drainage sites and 633 soil sites were sampled. S amplers were trained and field procedures were carried out in accordance to the 2005 G-BASE Field Procedures Manual. Health and Safety incidents are also reported.
