DiGMapPlus Engineering properties : use as engineered fill : methodology report

Entwisle, D.; Lawley, R.; Lee, K.A.. 2013 DiGMapPlus Engineering properties : use as engineered fill : methodology report. Nottingham, UK, British Geological Survey, 20pp. (IR/12/079) (Unpublished)

Abstract
This report describes the methodology for creating the DiGMapGB-Plus: Engineering Data (for Desk Studies) ‘use as engineering fill’ model for Great Britain. It facilitates and builds upon work already carried out as part of the Parent Material Map (PMM) project and follows on from the findings and recommendations in the scoping report (Booth, et al., 2010). The first part of the report introduces the project and the context of providing this type of data. The data currently available and its collation are then described within the methodology. Ultimately, a specification and methodology is provided for the first model of ‘use as engineering fill’ to be applied across Great Britain at a scale of 1:50,000.
